Our Services

The Trinity College Health Center, located on the first floor of Trinity Hall, offers health care for all Trinity students enrolled in at least 2 classes.

Services include but are not limited to the diagnosis and treatment of common health problems such as:

Routine Care Services Provided:	Services Referred to Emergency Care:
Routine well care, such as physicals and annual gynecological exams Routine sick care, such as for colds, sore throats, strep, mononucleosis, cough, rash Allergy shots, with allergists order Minor cuts, burns, injuries Abdominal pains Headaches Contraception (birth control) counseling and prescription including emergency contraception (i.e., “the morning-after pill”) Menstrual problems Urinary tract infections Sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing, including for HIV, herpes, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, trichomoniasis, and hepatitis C PrEP – Pre-Exposure HIV prophylaxis	Life or limb threatening conditions Chest pain or pressure Difficulty breathing Fractures or uncontrolled bleeding Severe abdominal pain Complex head injuries Seizures or sudden, severe headaches, paralysis, or weakness
Specialty Care Services Provided:
Onsite MD Consultation Referrals to specialty care Monitoring for eating disorder care teams Blood draws/ Bloodwork Uber Health rides for medical reasons Walgreens prescription delivery After-hours RN triage via our on-call service

• We do our best to provide same- or next- day appointments. Please be mindful of your class schedule and other obligations when scheduling appointments. We will work with you to avoid conflicts whenever possible and as medically appropriate.

Fees & Insurance:

• All charges are posted to your student account as a “Health Center Fee.”
• $20 for new complaints or routine well (i.e. physical) exams.
• No fee for follow-ups, pregnancy tests, asymptomatic STD screening, or nursing triage.
• Charged at cost, we carry many commonly prescribed and over-the-counter medications for your convenience.
• Bring your insurance card information with you to every visit. Insurance is required for off-site specialists, laboratory, and pharmacy services. Please review and understand your insurance coverage.

Prescriptions:

• We carry many commonly prescribed medications for your convenience.
• Medications may also be e-prescribed to your preferred pharmacy and charged through your insurance.
• Many students choose the Walgreens delivery option and have their medications sent to the Health Center for pick-up. You may use this delivery option with prescriptions sent from home prescribers, as well. We encourage you to set up an account in advance of any medical need by calling 860-595-1813.

Missing Class:

• The Health Center does not provide attendance notes to excuse students for late attendance or missed class(es). Students are expected to attend class when well enough and to communicate directly with your professors when feeling so unwell as to be unable to attend class.
• We do send Illness Reports to professors when students experience a severe illness or injury and COVID-19 related isolation/quarantine.
